The Social Media Club Louisville exists to increase the awareness and understanding of social media tools, strategies and programs to improve and enhance consumer experiences with businesses and individuals. The organization was founded in December of 2007 by Jason Falls and Todd Earwood. The organization’s first meeting took place in January 2008. After a year of engagement and growth, the club’s steering committee moved the organization to incorporation and full non-profit status in December of 2008. Social Media Club Louisville is an incorporated non-profit organization and applicant for  501(c)3 status, as recognized by the Internal Revenue Service.

Jason Falls - President
Jason is the former director of Social Media at Doe-Anderson turned freelance social media icon and the author of SocialMediaExplorer.com, an award-winning and industry-leading blog about social media, public relations and marketing.

Michelle Jones - Vice President
Michelle is social media consultant and writer. She spends most of her time educating businesses and non-profits on social media practices, tools and strategies as well as writing about what’s going on in Louisville at Consuming Louisville.

David Finch - Treasurer
David is a social media manager at Doe-Anderson and a headline blogger at The Social Enthusiast, which covers the vital and nebulous social media topic of “building brand enthusiasts.” He also shares his passion for entrepreneurship, technology and social media at davidsfinch.com

Brendan Jackson - Board Member
Brendan is Director of Digital Communications at Creative Alliance. His previous experiences in the digital world include Yahoo!, Atom Films, and MTV.

Jay Garmon - Board Member
Jay is the managing editor of software for the Technology Guide family of Web sites. His decade of experience as an online writer and product manager includes stints at CNET Networks, CBS Interactive, and Encylopedia Americana Online. Follow his unique brand of insights and humor at JayGarmon.net.
